The Venues
Golden Hall of Musikverein
The Golden Hall is where Vienna New Year's Concert is held every year. The concert hall is known for its visual beauty and impeccable acoustics.
Brahms-Hall of Musikverein
Brahms-Hall is considered to be the perfect concert hall for chamber music.
With its green walls, red columns and plenty of gold, Brahms-Hall
looks like a little tresasure chest. The interior of the room is held in the style of "Greek Renaissance", just like the rest of the buiding and of course the Golden Hall.
Vienna State Opera
The Vienna State Opera is the premiere opera and classical music venue in Vienna. The oper house was opened on May 25, 1869 with Mozart's Don Giovanni.
During WW II the Vienna opera was bombed. After the war the opera house exterior was rebuild as it had been.
The repertoire of the Vienna Mozart Orchestra includes more than 100 works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The concerts are performed in the style of 18th century “Musical Academies” at which it was usual to perform single movements from his many symphonies and solo concertos, as well as overtures, arias and duets from his best-known operas.
The favorite works by Mozart are performed at every concert!
